How long have you been in business?
Whaling City Transit is a family owned and operated transportation company, which has been servicing the Greater New Bedford and Fall River areas since 1972.
It was originally called Neves Bus Company after its founders, Rachel & Joseph Neves.
In 1986 the company incorporated under the name Whaling City Transit.
What is your primary product or service?
Transportation Service
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Whaling City was a family run and operated company the owner started working under his father as a teenager. Then later worked as his partner and grow the company to what it is now.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We have a complete fleet of vehicles including full size school buses, passenger vans, mid-sized school buses, wheelchair vans, and charter buses.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We have two locations one in New Bedford and One in Westport.
